What do we collect? Canberra Archery Club has several forms that you may be asked to complete throughout the site. The information in these forms is used to provide services such as Online Booking for the CAC President's Shoot as well as enabling us to publish any scores shot with the club on our website.

The type of information collected includes your name, date of birth, sex, the type of bow you shoot and the club you are a member of. Your email address is optional but allows us to contact you if there are any problems.

What do we do with your information? Information you enter on to the website is stored to allow us to provide services to you. Besides being utilised for the Online booking feature, this information allows us to determine the age and bow type category you shoot. Therefore when your scores are entered into the site they can be assessed appropriately. The members area of the site keeps track of your shooting record as well as your highest scores recorded on the site.

We get you to provide a password so that only you and the site administrator can access your information. The login allows you to access the members area of the site that has information specific to you stored on it.

NONE of the information that you provide too us is forwarded or shared with any other individual or organisation. All information collected is purely for use by CAC to enhance your visit to our site.

What Security do we provide? To protect your personal information during transmission the site uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to encode the information you provide between your PC and the site server. This makes the information unreadable and unusable by external parties who may try to intercept the information.

Cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer when visiting a site that record identifying information for that particular site's usage. In the case of CAC website the cookie merely records an identifier for you that means you do not have to login to the site each time you return. You can use the features of your web browser to disable or reject cookies. Doing so on the Canberra Archery Club site will simply mean that you need to log back in for each visit.
