Australia Day Tournament - 2008 |
The Australia Day weekend tournament in Canberra is fast becomming a classic Archery tournament. The Double FITA round shot over two days provides Archers with a real challenge. The prizes provided across the divisions have also become a real incentive. |

The Australia Day Tournament was shot at the Canberra Archery Club Grounds on the weekend of 27th - 28th of January 2008. The tournament consisted of a double FITA or equivalent shot on consecutive days. The tournament is registered as a FITA / Australian Star event providing ample opportunity for shooters to qualify. |
Categories. The Australia Day Tournament this year unlike previous years will only consist of Mens FITA, Ladies FITA and Fremantle Rounds due to the limted spots available. Any age Division that competes in one of these rounds is open for entry. It also has two divisions for Open Mens and Womens Compound and Recurve. The split Open divisions allow Archers who are not at the elite GMB / MB level to compete against each other for some great prizes. Categories include but are not limited too:
- Mens Open Compound,
- Mens Open Compound Div 2
- Mens Open Recurve
- Mens Open Recurve Div 2

- Womens Open Compound
- Womens Open Compound Div 2
- Womens Open Recurve
- Womens Open Recurve Div 2

- All other Mens, Womens and Junior Divisions that shoot FITA or Fremantle rounds.

It should be noted however that if insufficient entries are received for a particular division then it may be cancelled. This will only occur if there is sufficient time to notify participants.

To qualify for Division 2 an Archer can not have shot a score above the qualifying score in the last 12 months.
