AU Day Tournament entry

The Club will hold the 2012 AU Day Archery Tournament at the AIS from 28-29 January 2012. This event supports the AU Olympic team's preparations and we are being joined by the French Olympic team for this event. See the events page for the entry form.

Club redevelopment

The Club is currently closed for the redevelopment of its grounds. We expect the venue to be available to us from February 2012.

Southwell park is currently being redeveloped to provide improved access and facilities for sports located at the Park.

Our venue is expected to be re-opened in November.

In the mean time, our members are able to shoot at one of the other archery clubs in the region, see the Links page. The Club has a special deal with the Weston valley Archery Club - our members can shoot without paying the range fee.

Holiday programs

Our school holiday programs are still running but they are being held at the Weston Valley Archery Club. The holiday programs are open to children aged 10 years and over.

In memory: Robin Barker - Life member

With sadness I inform you of the death of Robin Barker. Robin was a long time member of the Canberra Archery Club. He was part of the Club since the 1960s and retiring to Hobart in the 1990s.

Much of the success and development of the Club and ACT archery is down to Robin's enthusiasm and joy for the sport and wanting to help beginners and members to shoot well, Robin was a national judge, event organiser and member of the Club's committee for many years.

9.3.1940 _ 21.8.2011 Passed away peacefully in Hobart. Beloved son of Ronald Kenneth and Elaine Joy (both dec). Loved brother of Tim and friend of Julie. Special uncle of Angela, Melissa and Scott and great uncle of their children. Rest In Peace Private Cremation at Robins request.
