Canberra Archery Club - About Us

Canberra Archery Club (CAC) is the Australian Capital Territory's oldest Archery Club. It was established in 1962. The club is a growing organisation and as of April 2008 we have over 100 members. The club has made a concerted effort to introduce archery to a wider range of people through initiatives such as our school holiday and 'come and try' programs. Many people introduced to the sport through these programs have gone on to become members.

The club conducts shoots every Sunday, although members can often be found shooting throughout the week. The beginners and come and try programmes are conducted every Sunday except the 1st Sunday of each month, when the "President's shoot" is conducted. The president's shoot is open to ALL Archers who are members of an official club.

The committee and members of the club are committed to promoting archery within the ACT and making the sport as enjoyable as possible for members and guests. The club is actively involved in participating in and conducting weeknight leagues, both indoor and outdoor. The club is also keen to promote other social activities for club members and friends outside of archery.

Shooting commences from 9:00am each Sunday. For specific times for the come and try and beginners programmes please visit the appropriate page. For those interested in becomming members of the club please read the membership pages for further details and application forms.
